Investors for Diversity’s mission is to support capital market participants to use their influence to increase diversity on the boards of Germany’s listed companies.
Our focus is on institutional investors, asset managers, proxy advisors, rating agencies, and investment banks that can call for greater diversity in a number of areas, including capital measures, investor dialogues, rating reviews, advisory mandates, or through their voting decisions at shareholder meetings.
We provide tailored advice on how to integrate diversity requirements into investment guidelines, the routes available to investors to impact diversity, and how to assess an issuer’s level of board diversity.
In two comprehensive studies, we analysed the influence of institutional investors on the board diversity of DAX® and MDAX® companies: How important is diversity to the largest investors in the DAX® and MDAX®? What influence do investors
have over the diversity of companies? To what extent are investors using their position to push for greater diversity?
